General

You can buy ritter products at any electronics retailers as well as our online shop. As for built-in appliances, you may buy them solely at kitchen specialist retailers.

Shop

At our online shop, you can buy ritter household appliances, spare parts and accessories. 

There are two options:

Household appliances: Klick the button “household appliances” on the main page and get to the desired product via the options menu. You can choose between premium, comfort and economy food slicers, our coffee machine cafena 5, our toasters volcano 3 and volcano 5, our kettle fontana 5, our cordless hand blender stilo 7, the practical ritter peeler as well as various household appliances in the special items sector and spare parts/accessories. As soon as you have made a decision on what you would like to buy, go directly to the product’s page and klick “buy now” – it will be delivered to the shopping cart, which will open automatically for you so you can see an overview. To finalise your order, go to “pay now”, complete the form as described and confirm your address. Following this, you need to consent to the general conditions, the legal notice as well as the privacy policy by ticking the boxes – after that, you can complete your order and get to the available payment methods.

Spare parts and accessoires: Klick the button “spare parts shop” on the right side of the homepage to get to the offered products. The overview also shows you the various payment methods. If you have decided on a product that you would like to buy, klick “product page” and proceed in the same manner as you would if you wanted to buy a household appliance.

The shopping cart is to be found on the right side of the homepage, just above “news”, “company”, “service” and “contact”.

Built-in systems need to be planned and installed by qualified personnel only. Please get in touch with a specialist shop near you.

Delivery shall be carried out exclusively within Germany.

For orders from another country (European Union only), the following mandatory delivery conditions apply:

  •          Personal pick-up directly from the factory
  •          Self-organised pick-up through a delivery service appointed by the customer
  •          Delivery to a German address

The goods ordinally leave our hub of shipping within 3 business days. Please note that there can be delays due to holidays, bridge days, et cetera. This only refers to delivery within Germany.

We can offer you the following payment methods: Immediate transfer (or Sofort-Überweisung by Klarna), Secured purchase on invoice, Paypal and credit cards (MasterCard / VISA).

Household appliances: Household appliances are free of delivery charges.

Spare parts and accessories: The delivery charges consist of portage, despatch packaging and commissioning.

Service

Date of production
The date of production is identified by a colourless three-digit number behind 'FD' on the type plate.

Type number
The type number consists of 6 digits, also on the identification plate.

Type of machine
The type of machine can also be read from the type plate.
Please do not read it from the instructions for use, as they although differently constructed- may unite several types.

The colour of the faulty part.

The defect your appliance shows.

A silver-coloured sticker giving the type of machine, the type number as well as the date of production (s.a.). Some appliances also have the identification plate imprinted on the bottom plate. Our built-in machines have their identification plates on the fitting.

Duty cycle, 5 minutes. Merely an advise for the user not to exceed 5 minutes of continuous operation. Meaningless for service purposes.

A suspended construction, without a food collecting tray (e.g. model sono5).

Since Jan. 1, 2002, the customer may claim warranty services within 2 years after date of purchase. However, the claim should be made promptly after discovery of the default.

Any opening, self-repair or improper handling of the appliance does forfeit all warranty claims, just as do any defective wear-and-tear parts.

Cost estimates for reparations will be drawn for free after having verified your device.

The above-mentioned documents cannot be sent to the customer since spare parts and spare part numbers change over time. Documents which have already been sent would thus not be subject to these changes and incorrect orders might be received.

In such a case, the sample part or a picture shall be sent in.

Please have your faulty appliance sent directly to the vendor respectively the ritter service center in your country (addresses as listed), including a copy of your purchase voucher.

About the blades

Yes. The serrated blade can be used for all kinds of foods. Hard and soft foods can be evenly sliced into appetising slices.
For especially thin slices, we recommend using the smooth ham/sausage blade.

This depends on different elements. You should allow the blade to do its work and shouldn't press into the blade too hard when cutting. Chilled, hard food is better for making especially thin slices.
Please be aware that our all-purpose slicers are not suitable for use on frozen foods.

The blade holder is the cog wheel behind the blade.

The different colours are for matching the correct blade to the right machine series.

Besides providing your personal details, such as name and address, we require the machine name, the FD number on your machine's name plate and the colour of the cog wheel on your blade.

That depends on the colour of your cog wheel. The different colours are for matching the blade to the correct machine series. If the cog wheel on your old slicer is identical to that on your new slicer, then yes.

Regularly clean the blade so that no food is left on the blade which could damage it. To do this, remove the circular blade by following the instructions in the manual and clean it thoroughly using warm soapy water (not in the dishwasher).
Always wipe the blade with a damp cloth as soon as you have finished using it.

No. The surface of the blade has been hardened meaning that if you sharpen the blade it will become blunt much quicker.

We recommend using ordinary Vaseline for greasing the cog wheels.

All foods contain natural acids, salts and moisture which can attack the material of the blade. Therefore, we recommend that you always wipe the circular blade with a damp cloth once you have finished using it and that you regularly wash it thoroughly in warm soapy water. Otherwise flash rust can form on stainless steel.

No. The blade holder has been riveted securely to the machine for safety purposes.

If the blade hasn't been cleaned for a long time, a film can build up on the blade. This film then creates more friction between the blade and the food being sliced. This means that small amounts of food may regularly remain stuck to the blade. Regularly cleaning the blade and reducing the pressure applied to the blade when slicing will prevent this.

No. The abrasive detergent attacks the hardened surface of the blade. As a result, rust can form and the blade becomes dull over time.

Built-in-bread-bin

If the bread bin is still new or if it has not been used for an extended period, then it may be that the bread bin lid has not absorbed the necessary degree of moisture. 
Place a bowl of water into the bread bin and leave it overnight. The lid will then absorb the required moisture, which then in turn is released to the bread.

Open the bread bin regularly. In this way, the bread comes into contact with fresh air and excess moisture can escape. The higher the ambient air humidity, the more often you should ventilate your bread bin. Clean your bread bin with vinegar water once in a while. Make also sure that the ventilation rosette is mounted to the cabinet rear wall.

Clean the lid using vinegar, then rinse it thoroughly.

If you should detect any mould in the lid itself, please contact the ritter service. 

NO. It must be possible for air to get into the bread crock and for excess humidity to evaporate. The edge of the lid (brim) should, however, enclose the crock completely.

Clean the lid using vinegar, then rinse it thoroughly and place it for roughly one hour at approx. 250 degrees Celsius in the baking oven. Caution! Place the lid into the cold baking oven and do not remove until after the cooling process is over!

Installation Instructions

The installation of all ritter built-in appliances may be done by authorised personnel only. ritterwerk cannot be held liable for any damage/s resulting from incorrect and/or faulty installation.

All the workman actually needs in order to be able to install any of our machines is a battery screwdriver and a wood drill, a screw driver, a measuring tape and some screws. Installation itself merely requests the standard equipment workmen carry along anyway - no special tools needed and no complicated installation instructions necessary! All you really need is to work carefully and accurately - a requirement you can supply any time! Very simple and very customer-friendly installation indeed!

Sobald es einen neuen Produkttest gibt, können Sie sich dafür bewerben. Wenn Sie das ausgeschriebene Gerät gerne testen möchten, dann klicken Sie bitte auf das Online-Bewerbungsformular, füllen dieses aus und senden es ab. Nach Ablauf der Bewerbungsphase werten wir die Bewerbungen aus und wählen aus allen Bewerbern die Teilnehmer aus, die am besten zum Produkttest passen.

Aus allen eingegangenen Bewerbungen wählen wir die Tester für den Produkttest aus. Bitte haben Sie etwas Geduld, wir informieren Sie natürlich umgehend per E-Mail, sobald die finale Auswahl getroffen wurde und Sie zu den ausgewählten Testern gehören. Die Teilnehmerzahl unseres Produkttests ist immer begrenzt. Seien Sie daher bitte nicht enttäuscht, wenn Sie einmal nicht als Tester ausgewählt wurden. Beim nächsten Mal klappt es bestimmt.

Alle ausgewählten Tester erhalten eine individuelle E-Mail von uns, in der wir die Versandadresse erfragen. Anschließend wird das Testgerät liebevoll gepackt und schnellstmöglich zu Ihnen geschickt.

Bitte haben Sie Verständnis, dass der Versand ein paar Tage dauern kann. Es wäre super, wenn Sie uns informieren, sobald Ihr Paket bei Ihnen angekommen ist. Bei Fragen können Sie sich jederzeit an testgeraete@ritterwerk.de wenden.

In der 6-wöchigen Testphase dürfen Sie das Testgerät so ausführlich und kreativ wie möglich ausprobieren und darüber berichten. Nach Abschluss der aktiven Testphase möchten wir natürlich auch Ihre finale Meinung, Ihr persönliches Testergebnis, wissen. Wir zählen auf Ihre ehrliche Meinung! Bitte veröffentlichen Sie also innerhalb der 6 Wochen Ihren Testbericht auf Ihrem Blog oder Vlog.
