Necessary details we need to know for any service request:
- The date of production -
is identified by a colourless three-digit number behind 'FD' on the type plate. - The type number -
consists of 6 digits, also on the identification plate.

Please do not read it from the instructions for use, as they -although differently constructed- may unite several types. - The colour of the faulty part.

Answering frequently asked questions:
- What exactly is the identification plate?
A silver-coloured sticker giving the type of machine, the type number as well as the date of production (s.a.). Some appliances also have the identification plate imprinted on the bottom plate. Our built-in machines have their identification plates on the fitting. - What means 'KB 5 Min'?
Duty cycle, 5 minutes. Merely an advise for the user not to exceed 5 minutes of continuous operation. Meaningless for service purposes. - What is a 'Freischneider'?
A suspended construction, without a food collecting tray (e.g. model solida5 ). - Which warranty obligations does the manufacturer have?
Since Jan. 1, 2002, the customer may claim warranty services within 2 years after date of purchase. However, the claim should be made promptly after discovery of the default. - How do I claim correctly?
Please have your faulty appliance sent directly to the vendor respectively the ritter service center in your country (addresses as listed), including a copy of your purchase voucher. - Which cases do not justify any warranty claims?
Any opening, self-repair or improper handling of the appliance does forfeit all warranty claims, just as do any defective wear-and-tear parts.
