REACh

On 1 June 2007, REACh (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemical substances) entered into force.
This regulation (EC 1907/2006 of 18 December 2006 by the European Parliament and Council) does mean basic and essential reforms of the European chemicals law.

REACh does regulate registration, evaluation and authorisation of the chemicals used in the European Community. It is meant to ensure better protect humans and environment against harms caused by chemical substances. The substances concerned are being ascertained by the European Chemicals Agency and published on a so-called ‘list of candidates'.

Present state of enforcement:

Candidate List (as of 2/10) according to art. 59 (1,10) of the regulation (EC) no. 1907/2006 (‘REACH’) has now been published (see website of the European Chemicals Agency http://echa.europa.eu).

ritterwerk closely cooperates with its suppliers in order to gain and evaluate the required information.  According to our present status of knowledge, our products or their packings do not contain any substances of the Candidate List in a concentration above 0.1 mass%.
