FAQ Built-In Toaster
The ritter built-in toaster ET 10 has been granted the TÜV Rheinland/GS approval, a recognized and well acknowledged approval which stands for verified and controlled safety confirming that the appliance does meet the legal requirements.
How hot does the toaster housing get? Is there any risk of burning one's fingers?
The toaster's stainless steel housing is thermal insulated and does not get hot enough to burn one's fingers. The frame of the toasting slot as well as the bread and roll rack, however, may not be touched - same as with all other toasters. For folding the toaster, always use the handle.
What will happen if the toaster is being folded during operation, then closing the drawer? Or if there's short circuit within the folded toaster? Is there any risk of fire?
The toaster does have a safety switch which automatically switches off the toaster as soon as it is being folded, thus interrupting the electric power supply to the heating coil of the built-in toaster. In addition, a thermal safety device does prevent risk of fire.
How long should the toaster be allowed to cool off before folding and stowing it away?
We recommend to allow the toaster to cool off at least 30 seconds before folding and stowing it away.
Which effects do the temperatures have on my kitchen? Does the heat have any negative influence on the kitchen cabinets?
The toaster housing is thermal insulated and the maximum temperatures are so low that the inner cabinet parts of the drawer will not be damaged.
How can the breadcrumbs be removed from the drawer? How is the drawer to be cleaned?
For quick cleaning in between, simply use a small hand vacuum cleaner. In any case, the toaster may easily be removed from the drawer without any tools.
Please mind the safety advices mentioned in the instructions for use!
